Join in the Polar Plunge at Aquatica this weekend to benefit the Special Olympics Florida! The event takes place Saturday, January 22, 2011. Registration begins at 9:00AM; the Opening Ceremony and Plunge at 11:00AM. After the Plunge, you get to stay and play at Aquatica all day! All you have to do is raise or donate a minimum of $50, and you also receive official commemorative Plunge gear and, of course, bragging rights!
The water at Aquatica is normally warm, but they are icing down the wave pool specifically for this fund-raiser. The Special Olympics helps people with disabilities to achieve physical fitness, self-esteem and life skills necessary to be a productive, respected and contributing members of their communities. So, raise some money for a good cause, and come out and have some fun too!
Note: The incentives and prizes increase based on the amount of money you raise. Minimum age to Plunge is 15.
