There are a host of other smaller attractions, gardens, zoos, museums or other places in the Orlando area that may not be thought of as “attractions” yet they are a great way to spend a day or half a day visiting.

Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens

At the Central Florida Zoo in Sanford, there is so much to do!  Of course, the main attraction are the 400+ animals you will see, along with the beautiful botanical gardens.  You can also bring your bathing suit and cool off in the Wharton-Smith tropical splash ground.  You may even try ZOOm Air Adventure Park, which is an aerial adventure course featuring zip lines and rope bridges,  so you can experience the zoo from an animal’s perspective- in the tree tops!  Approximately 32 miles from the Orlando area.

Orlando Science Center

The Orlando Science Center features four floors of exciting exhibits, along with giant screen movies and live programming.  The exhibits include Science On a Sphere, Kids Town, Dr. Dare’s Lab, Nature Works, and many more!  This indoor attraction combines fun and knowledge under one roof.   Approximately 12 miles from the Orlando area.

Reptile World Serpentarium

Visit the Orlando area’s most exciting reptile exhibits.  Reptile World Serpentarium is a working venom farm that is home to some of the worlds most deadly snakes including rattlesnakes, copperheads, cobras, and many more! Approximately 30 miles from the Orlando area.
