On Saturday, October 12, Ripley’s Orlando will host the second annual Oddtoberfest from noon to 5:00 p.m. This special event is FREE to the public, and everyone is invited to attend. What is Oddtoberfest? It is one day of fright, fun and festivities, when paying homage and celebrating the unusual is, believe it or not, a lot of FUN!

ORLANDO TOURIST TIP: This event is FREE! If you have children, this is a great way to enjoy the afternoon. It is not often you are able to visit the Orlando area and bring your children to something this much fun, at little to no cost. Be sure to purchase tickets if you want to tour the Odditorium before/during/after the event.

Beebs and Her Money MakersLive music will be performed throughout the afternoon by Beebs and Her Money Makers. If you missed them at the Vans Warped Tour, come see them perform for free. The Orlando Odditorium served as their location while shooting the video hit Jumpin,’ and are as close to being Ripley’s house band as you can get. They’ll rock the festivities which will include plenty of other live entertainment.

If you enjoy karate, or you have little ones currently enrolled in karate classes, you’ll not want to miss Sensei Mike Reeves and his Over the Edge Team. Qubits catDuring this free Orlando event, they will display their amazing karate skills and break bricks and boards.  Watch him attempt to break a few world records too! Maybe your kids are into Qubits, or like to build things. The founder of Qubits, Mark Burginger will build a 13-foot tall tower made entirely from Qubits toy pieces. If ABC’s Shark Tank featured them, you know it’s going to be great!

Trevor Dreher trick-ropingTrevor Dreher will be displaying his world-class trick roping talents at this free Orlando event. You don’t see that every day! Nor do you see an amazing vehicle from Parker Brothers Concepts – the famous Green Machine – every day. This is certainly not a kids toy. Powered by a motorcycle engine, this adult size vehicle is powerful and fun to experience.

Other fun events include face painting, bounce house and a temporary tattoo artist. Oddtoberfest is held in the parking lot at Ripley’s Orlando Odditorium located at 8201 International Drive. The event will take place rain or shine, so plan to attend Saturday, Oct. 12. Guests who want to tour the Odditorium will be required to purchase tickets. Have an odd Saturday of fun and enjoy Oddtoberfest!
