There are a couple of very interesting conventions coming to Orlando this week.  And, why not?  Orlando is the perfect place for conventions.  The Orange County Convention Center is the 2nd largest meeting facility in the nation. Known as the “Center of Hospitality”, this facility boasts 2.1 million square feet of exhibition space, two 92,000 square foot general assembly areas, and over 74 meeting rooms.  In addition, there are three full-service restaurants, 8 food courts, plenty of hotels close by, and its only 15 minutes from Orlando International Airport.

And, of course, since it’s located in the tourist capital of the United States, there are plenty of fun things to do in your down time!  There are hundreds of restaurants close by, as well as shopping and fun activities.  There are plenty of shows and dinner shows in the area, such as Capone’s Dinner and Show, which is just down the road, a great place for the group to go and relax after the show.    Of course, we have the greatest selection of theme parks in the world, with the Walt Disney World Resort and the Universal Orlando resorts in close proximity.  There are many other secondary attractions as well, such as Gatorland, Old Towne, Ripley’s Believe it or Not, and many more.  Nighttime is fun time here; there are many clubs and live music options.  You surely won’t get bored while you are in Orlando, but if you want to just kick back and relax, you can always visit our area beaches; they’re just over an hour away.  Check out our listing to the right to see all the great options, as well as the different tours that are available, which include boating and aerial-tours.

This week, at the convention center, you can check out the Europa Show of Champions Sport & Supplement Expo from Friday, April 29th thru Saturday, the 30th.  Here, you can check out bodybuilding, wrestling, martial arts, fencing, power lifting, Judo, arm wresting, cheerleading, skateboarding, a kids fun zone, and much more!  Kurt Angle will even be giving a seminar on “UltimateTraining”.

Then, also on April 30th, begins the Qi Revolution, which lasts until May 3rd.  Experts in Yoga and natural medicine are raving about this event.  The “Qi Feeling” is the result of practicing Qigong, a 5,000 year old energy art for strengthening the flow of life force and health improvement.  The events here include learning about Empowerment, Alchemy, Healing Circle, and Energy Peaks.  Awaken your senses with this healing system.

So, whether you’re an exhibitor or attendee, enjoy our conventions, be sure to visit some of our attractions, and enjoy your visit to Orlando!
