EDITOR’S NOTE: This featured dinner show is no longer offered. It has been replaced with Dine with Shamu.

On your visit to SeaWorld Orlando, take the time to check out the authentic Polynesian festival at the Makahiki Luau dinner show.  There is an additional cost, along with park admission.  But, the cost is reasonable as each show ticket includes salad, entrée, dessert, soft drinks, a flower lei, and a tropical welcome drink, along with superb entertainment.

Located at the Seafire Grill inside SeaWorld, the show opens with a welcoming ceremony by magnificent dancers.  The atmosphere is very tropical, and really sets the stage so you feel as if you’re no longer at an Orlando theme park.

The Grand Kahuna sings authentic island songs while the very talented dancers entertain in exotic costumes.  Kids of all ages will enjoy the Grand Kahuna’s tales, incliuding the Fire Dance, where the fire dancer actually places the burning ends of a fire baton  against his feet and tongue, ouch!

The food consists of an Island salad, Fish in Pina Colada Sauce, Hawaiian Chicken, Polynesian-style BBQ Pork, stir-fry vegetables, and Polynesian Fried Rice.  There is a children’s menu as well with chicken tenders and hot dogs.  (Menu is subject to change.)  The food is okay, but the show is the main lure….with fire-eating, juggling, acrobatics, wonderful dancing, and live music, it’s a fun place to eat in Orlando – you’ll have a great time.
You even have time to enjoy SeaWorld after the show….Kraken is even more fun in the dark!
